A driver in one of the trucks involved in the Chyulu Hills accident along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway has died while three others have been injured.
KNIGHTS FERRY: One Dead, 3 Injured in Head-on Tanker Truck Crash on Highway 108 KNIGHTS FERRY, Calif. (MAY 13, 2014) — At least one person is dead and possibly three injured following a head-on crash between a car and a tank truck early Tuesday morning on Highway 108 at Kennedy Road, just east of Lover’s Leap, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
One worker was killed and three injured near Mead when an oil tank battery exploded this afternoon. The facility, which stores extracted oil and gas awaiting transport, is owned and operated by Anadarko Petroleum, which also owns the improperly abandoned gas flowline that investigators say caused the deadly house explosion in Firestone last month.
This Anadarko gas well is about a mile from the scene of an Anadarko oil tank battery fire on May 26, 2017 in Mead. Workers were doing maintenance on the tank battery when the fire sparked killing one worker and injured three more.

Another traveller, Bharath Reddy, was seriously injured and slipped into coma and was admitted to R.L. Jalappa Hospital here. Negligent driving and drowsiness of the driver was said to be the cause for the accident. While the car (AP 9 BL 9888) was mangled, the rod of the gas tanker was damaged. Vemgal police have registered a case.
Three seriously injured soldiers have been taken to hospitals in Swansea, Cardiff and Birmingham. One injured soldier is in Morriston Hospital, Swansea, another at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, and the third was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, which has a dedicated wing for treating injured service personnel.
